Remy Shines!

Being Recognized

We are so delighted that Remy’s Rainbows was chosen as one of 13 Amazing Artists on the Autism Spectrum You Need to Check Out from The Mighty website. All of the artists are incredible and we hope you will take the opportunity to take a peek at their work and follow them. An article such as this is the way we can spread real “awareness” about the many talents of Autists. Although I wish the title of the article was simply “13 Amazing Autistic Artists You Need to Check Out,” as well as other language fixes in the body of it.

Inspiring Others

We received an email, a few years back, from a Mother who told us that her beautiful twin little girls, just a few years older than Remy, love looking at his paintings. They also enjoyed the short video of him we posted of him as he worked, so we wanted to record a longer of Remy creating their birthday gift, so they could enjoy it for years to come.

Creating Change

The past few years our family has been active at Remy’s School, particularly in the activity planning for “Autism Awareness Month.” The school has been wonderful, embracing a positive neurodiversity mindset and engaging in activities so the students can learn about their peer’s uniqueness without using stereotypes and negative imagery.

Remy created a painting in his school’s colors to thank everyone for all the work the staff and faculty do. It proudly hangs in front of the main office, inspiring others to show their unique talents and abilities.
